Woman From Ellensburg Is Uninjured After Two-Vehicle Collision

Various news outlets have reported that a 21-year-old woman from Ellensburg was involved in a collision on U.S. Highway 97 and fortunately was left uninjured.

The authorities claimed that the accident happened just four miles south of Leavenworth some time during Sunday afternoon. The collision occurred when a vehicle tried to make a left turn but failed to first yield to the other car carrying the 21-year-old who was sitting at the passenger seat.

The reports from the Washington State Patrol show that the 84-year-old man driving the car that caused the accident was from Pehshastin. He was allegedly injured and taken to the Hospital after the accident.

Authorities say that all drivers and passengers were wearing their seatbelts.

I, a Bellevue car accident lawyer hope that the driver who was injured will have a steadfast recovery. Hopefully this accident will serve as an example to all drivers who sometimes find themselves not paying enough attention to the road they’re traveling on.

Even familiar streets from quiet neighborhoods can pose threats if you’re not attentive to the traffic surrounding you. Whenever you’re involved in an accident that was caused by the recklessness of other drivers, contact a personal injury lawyer in your area.

Accident On Route 599 Claims The Life of A 22-Year-Old Man

The local news sources have reported that a 22-year-old man from Tukwila was tragically involved in a single-vehicle accident sometime after 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened on the northbound lanes of the State Route 599.

The reports showed that a Honda Civic was going northbound on Route 599 at a high speed when its driver lost control of the vehicle. The car rolled several times until it rested on the right shoulder of the road just south of Highway 99. The media release from the Washington State patrol shows that the driver, a 20-year-old man from Seattle sustained minor injuries but his passenger, the 22-year-old from Tukwila allegedly did not survive.

Authorities claim the driver had a seat belt on but not the passenger. There was a 24-year-old who was a second passenger, he had his seat belt on and was taken to the hospital after the crash for precaution. At this very moment, a personal injury lawyer could be assisting the passenger also involved in this tragic accident.

The news states that drugs or alcohol may have been factors behind this accident. As a Seattle car accident lawyer I’m deeply sad to hear of the young man’s death. My heart and thoughts go the family of the man whose life was lost in this tragic accident.

Big Rig Strikes MAX Train, Injuring 8 in Hillsboro

Media sources reported that eight people suffered moderate and minor injuries in an accident involving a big rig and MAX light rail train in Hillsboro, Oregon Monday afternoon.

According to reports from the Hillsboro Police Department and Tri-Met investigators, the accident occurred shortly after noon on Monday when a big rig trailer collided with an eastbound MAX light rail train, blocking the intersection of Southeast 10th Street and Washington Street. When crews from Hillsboro Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene, they discovered the front windshield of the light rail train smashed in and moderate damage done to the tractor portion of the big rig.

Rescue crews immediately began triaging the injured at the scene and found that the driver of the big rig and seven passengers onboard the train were in need of treatment for varying injuries. The big rig driver and five MAX passengers were taken to several local hospitals for treatment. A seventh train passenger was taken via private vehicle to a hospital while the eighth passenger refused medical treatment at the scene.

Hillsboro Police officials and Tri-Met investigators are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident by interviewing both drivers and checking the operations of the signaling system at the intersection. As of yet, no statement has been made as to whether any citations may be issued.

As a Vancouver personal injury lawyer, I’m greatly relieved to hear that no one was more seriously injured in this potentially deadly accident. If you’ve suffered injury as the result of an accident that was caused by the negligence of another, contact a personal injury lawyer in your city to learn more about your rights as they pertain to the matter.
