Sunday was a sad day for Pasco, Washington according to the local news. Articles state that a pedestrian from Pasco was walking on the highway when two different cars struck him before being pronounced dead by the Washington State Patrol.
The drivers, a 19-year-old man and a 31-year-old man allegedly stayed at the scene of the accident assisting the WSP.
According to the Patrol, the man was in the right lane of the highway after being dropped off by a friend. What made the man want to change directions and walk eastbound on SR 240 is still unknown. The causes behind he crash are also obscure.
The two drivers responsible for hitting and then sadly killing the man are being allegedly investigated.
According to the official reports, it is not yet clear how the accident came to be but I, a Tacoma personal injury attorney have faith that the authorities will discover the true causes behind this pedestrian-related accident.
The thoughts and hearts of personal injury lawyers in Washington are with the close friends and family of this 23-year-old man who tragically lost his life in a completely preventable accident.
We’re certain that his family will have the strength to live through this difficult phase of their lives.
According to local news, a vehicle on Highway 20 allegedly hit a 61-year-old pedestrian from Coupeville. She was trying to cross the road when she was tragically hit and, according to the news, killed.
The Washington State Patrol has identified the woman as Coupeville resident Toni Chapman, 61. She was struck by two vehicles at about 5:52 p.m. and died at the scene. The reports from the authorities show that the 61-year-old pedestrian was simply walking in the southbound lane close to the intersection of NW Broadway and Ebey Road when she was first hit by a vehicle driven by a 76-year-old from Langley and then, when she came to rest in the northbound lane of the Highway, she was hit again by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old woman from Oak Harbor.
After this tragic accident, Highway 20 was shut down temporarily. As an Everett personal injury attorney I sincerely offer my deepest condolences to the family of the victim in this fatal accident. My heart and thoughts go to those who are mourning this loss.
As a personal injury lawyer, I urge all readers to be extremely careful at intersections and pedestrian pathways. The best way to avoid accidents is to stay alert at all times, do not forget it.
