Man from Ephrata Hits Guardrail on Route 17

According to the Washington State Patrol and local news sources, there was a crash last Friday sometime after 3 p.m. on Route 17. Reports show that the crash happened just north of Moses Lake.

The driver allegedly involved in the one-vehicle accident was a 21-year-old from Ephrata and he was driving a 1992 Cadillac when he fell asleep and collided against a guardrail.

The authorities have claimed that they still don’t know all the details regarding the accident or what caused the man to allegedly fall asleep but an officer from Washington State Patrol says that drugs or alcohol can be possibly related to the collision.

As a Bellingham car accident attorney I understand that many different factors may pose as accident facilitators but I urge all of you to be extremely cautious of drowsy driving. Be aware of the signs your body is getting tired, pull over in a safe place, take a nap if needed but try not to continue to drive if you feel you will not be able to remain awake and alert.

Whenever you or a loved one is involved in a car accident related to distracted driving, remember that the best person you can turn to is a personal injury lawyer in your area. Don’t delay in contacting someone you can trust, right away.
