Recall Issued For Nissan Sentras Over Stall Risk

According to the recent reports from the Consumer Reports website, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration along the Nissan automaker is issuing a recall for all 2010 and 2011 Sentras.

The announcement states that over 33,800 units of the mentioned Sentra models have to be taken back to the dealerships due to an issue with their battery terminals. The company reveals that the engine may stall unexpectedly leading the vehicle to crash. The problem happened because during the manufacturing process, the battery terminals were covered with a zinc coating that was thicker than necessary.

Because of the faulty battery terminals, the engine can also present problems when the driver tries to restart the car. The national agency assured the media that the issue affects only the vehicles manufactured during May, July, August, September and October of 2010 and are equipped with the MR20 engines.

As a Seattle car accident lawyer I want to remind all owners of the recalled Nissan Sentras that it is against the law to sell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. If you own a Sentra that has been recalled, you can take it into your local dealer where they will perform a thorough inspection for free.

Whenever you are injured in an accident that was caused by a third party and that left you harmed in any way, contact a personal injury attorney to assist you.

Recall Issued For 126,000 Honda Goldwing Motorcycles

According to recent news from the Consumer Reports, certain Honda motorcycles are being recalled due to issues related to their brakes. Over 120,000 vehicles are being recalled according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration because of an alleged problem with the secondary brakes and their cylinders.

Reportedly the problem makes the rear brakes drag and increase the risk to riders since it may lead to a collision. According to the news, the problem can cause the brake to overheat since riding with a tied in rear brake will strain the engine.

The carmaker has stated that the malfunctioning brakes are present in all GL 1800 Goldwing motorcycles manufactured from 2001 to 2010. The 2012 models also have the same issue.

By January, all owners will be notified of the recall and how they must proceed to get their motorcycles fixed properly, promised Honda. All maintenance will be free of charge to the Honda Goldwing motorcycle owners.

As a Federal Way motorcycle accident attorney I urge all riders who happen to own one of the recalled models to contact the company right away. Don’t ever wait for a recalled product to break or fail when you most need it, respond to the recalls quickly so you won’t get harmed in any way.

Any personal injury lawyer should be of great assistance if you ever feel you were the victim of a company that is neglectful. Call right away.

Nissan Rogue Vehicles Are Being Recalled

The Consumer Reports agency states that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a recall for an approximate number of 7,300 vehicles of the 2011 Nissan Rogue model. According to the news, the recall is related to an incorrect installation of electric parts. The alleged incorrect installation, according to the national agency may cause a serious failure of the electric power steering systems in the Nissan Rogue vehicles.

According to the NHTSA, the affected cars were put together between August 2010 and October 2011. The issue was described to be provoked because the circuit board from the electric power steering known as EPS was poorly settled, leading most connections to fail. Eventually, the vehicle loses its power steering assistance due to these problems. According to the agency, this issue possibly leads to serious collisions.

Nissan has announced that all registered owners will be notified of the recall right away.

As a Renton car accident attorney I urge Nissan Rogue owners in Washington to take their cars to dealerships in a timely manner so the faulty EPS control unit will be entirely replaced for free. Personal injury lawyers know of the dangers related to faulty vehicles. Don’t live with this serious accident threat to you, other drivers and pedestrians, respond quickly.

Landshire Recalls Sandwich Due to Presence of Listeria

In a news release, Landshire, in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), announced the voluntary recall of their Nike All-American sandwiches due to the potential that they are contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can result in severe and sometimes fatal infections in the young, elderly and those with already weakened immune systems. If consumed, Listeria can also result in miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women. Healthy individuals that ingest Listeria monocytogenes may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

This recall affects 1,751 cases of the Nike All-American sandwiches that were distributed on a national level to retail supermarkets, such as WalMart. The product subject to recall is pre-packaged and wrapped for individual sale. The 7.25-ounce sandwich can also be identified by the UPC code 0 974880741 5 and lot number 11 237 6 which appear on the side of the packaging. This recall does not affect any other Landshire product, including the Red Packaged Nike Super Poorboy sandwich. This recall was initiated after a routine sample taken by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Service proved to contain Listeria.

No illnesses have been reported as of yet. However, consumers are being urged to avoid eating this item and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I’ve seen recalls similar to this in the past and the devastating effects they can have on victims. If you’ve been injured through the consumption of a contaminated food product, speak with an experienced personal injury lawyer in your town to discuss the legal options available to you.

Harley-Davidson Recalls Bikes Due to Rear Brakes and Light

In a press statement, Harley-Davidson, in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), announced the recall of certain Touring, CVO Touring and Trike motorcycles from model years 2009 through 2012 due to faulty rear brake lights and the possibility of a brake fluid leak that could pose a risk to the rider.

This recall affects roughly 251,000 motorcycles from the model years between 2009 and 2012. It was initiated based off of the discovery that the rear brake light switch might be exposed to excessive heat from the exhaust system. This can result in either the switch not activating the brake lamp when the brakes are applied, or activating the lamp when the braking system is inactive. This exposure to excessive heat from the exhaust system may also result in a leak of brake fluid at the brake light switch, which can affect the performance of the rear brake and increase the risk of an accident. The recalled Harley-Davidsons were manufactured between 6 June 2008 and 16 September 2011.

The company is planning to initiate this safety recall at the end of October and will replace the defect parts at their dealerships for free. No injuries have been reported as a result of this recall.

As a Bellevue motorcycle accident lawyer, I’ve seen recalls of this nature in the past and understand the serious effects they can have consumers. If you’ve been injured through the use of a defective part, speak with a personal injury lawyer in your city to learn more about the legal avenues open to you.
