Recall Issued For Nissan Sentras Over Stall Risk

According to the recent reports from the Consumer Reports website, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration along the Nissan automaker is issuing a recall for all 2010 and 2011 Sentras.

The announcement states that over 33,800 units of the mentioned Sentra models have to be taken back to the dealerships due to an issue with their battery terminals. The company reveals that the engine may stall unexpectedly leading the vehicle to crash. The problem happened because during the manufacturing process, the battery terminals were covered with a zinc coating that was thicker than necessary.

Because of the faulty battery terminals, the engine can also present problems when the driver tries to restart the car. The national agency assured the media that the issue affects only the vehicles manufactured during May, July, August, September and October of 2010 and are equipped with the MR20 engines.

Recall Issued For Nissan Juke Over Faulty Sensors

Several news sources revealed that Nissan is issuing a recall along the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for 28,000 Juke SUVs over faulty sensors and freezing locks.

According to the official statement, this is a global recall since accidents related to the faulty parts have been reported in foreign countries. The automaker tested their vehicles after the complaints and realized the boost-pressure sensors can eventually come loose and lead to several problems with the vehicle’s check-engine lights. The problem may also lead the car to stall suddenly since the faulty bracket can fall into the air tube.

The official reports state that the automaker will send recall notices to owners in the beginning of January of 2012.

Frozen Pasta Recall Issued

A certain amount of frozen stuffed pasta produced and distributed by the D’Orazio Foods, Inc. from New Jersey is being recalled due to the lack of proper inspections performed before the items were shipped.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service revealed that the company must seize over 161,000 ponds of the frozen pasta distributed to many states including California.

After a routine assessment managed by the FSIS, agents realized there was a certain batch of pasta that had been produced when inspectors were not present at the facility. The recalled items include Albertsons’ beef ravioli, Albertsons’ sausage ravioli, Jewel sausage ravioli, Our Family beef ravioli and Jewel beef ravioli. States like California, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Oregon and Utah are known to have distributed the recalled products.

Voluntary Recall Issued For Golden Glen Creamery Butter

According to a recent announcement from the FDA, Washington based Golden Glen Creamery is announcing a recall for their butter product produced on November 2, 2011. The agency reported that the product may contain Listeria monocytogenes and that individuals who may have consumed the recalled item can assimilate serious illnesses. Some may even be life-threatening to people with a weak immune system.

The FDA has assured consumers that no illnesses were reported linked to the recalled butter and that this is a voluntary recall.

The recalled product comes in a plastic round container; the labels read “Northwest Mushroom Trio Butter” or “Herbes de Provence Butter” and they are kept in a temper-evident seal. “GOLDEN GLEN CREAMERY” and “Natural handcrafted cheese produced by the Jensen Ladies” are also printed on the containers.

The very top label has a code that reads 767. The possible contamination was discovered after Washington State Department of Agriculture collected a random sample of the product for testing. The FDA urges consumers to either completely destroy the recalled item or return it to the place of purchase right away.

The reports from the company and the agency show that the products can overheat posing a burn hazard to consumers. The orange and black recalled items are made of plastic and come with six lenses that can be attached to the flashlight so different images can be projected. According to recent news from various outlets, the company United Natural Foods, Inc. is issuing a recall of black bean tortillas in the State of California. This is yet another case of possible botulism bacteria contamination to haunt the press.

The Rhode Island-based company announced along with the Food and Drug Administration that there hasn’t been any illnesses reports linked to the consumption of this item but they have decided to go along with the recall anyway.
