The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission along with the company responsible for the manufacturing of the recalled product, released a joint recall alert according to the news.

The official announcement shows the recalled exercise equipment was distributed by Nautilus Inc. of Vancouver, Washington. The company stated that the item demonstrated malfunctioning issues related to the footplates. The article states that the plaques have a great possibility of coming detached from the rest of the equipment posing a fall hazard to users.

A personal injury lawyer could be highly helpful at this moment.

According to recent news from the consumer reports, the manufacturer along with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is recalling a certain type of dog food from the P&G’s Iams brand. The Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy dry food was found to have high levels of a toxin called aflatoxin that may cause many illnesses in pets.

The FDA has announced that retailers have removed the remaining recalled products from their shelves but that several consumers still own bags of the recalled product in their homes. According to official reports, the illnesses related to the bacteria found in the dog food may cause the dogs to suffer sluggishness, vomiting, lethargy, yellowish tint to the eyes, diarrhea etc.

The article announced that the product was distributed to most states of the country and that the recalled bags have February 5 or February 6, 2013 stamped on their Best If Used By labels.

If your pet consumed this recalled product, take it to a veterinarian as fast as possible. I, a Seattle personal injury attorney and a pet owner understand how important our pet’s health is to our family and us.

Don’t hesitate to contact a personal injury lawyer if you ever feel like a defective product has caused you or a loved one to be severely injured. Don’t let the negligence of a big company harm your loved ones.

iPod Touch Battery Cases Recalled

According to recent news from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, an alert recall was issued for over 6,000 Mophie Juice Pack Air rechargeable batteries and its external cases. The packs being recalled pose an alleged fire hazard even though this item was designed to serve as an external battery only.

Official statements say consumers could burn their hands while handling the product and that there were over 40 reports from several consumers saying that the external case got to the point of becoming completely deformed after burning due to the overheating batteries.

The news says that 110 complaints were reported to Morphie claiming batteries were becoming allegedly too warm to the touch. Some cases of minor burns to consumers’s hands have already surfaced.

I, a Vancouver personal injury attorney hope to see no consumers being injured while handling this product. The iPod touch external battery cases should be an extra protection for iPod owners, not an injury threat.

Personal injury lawyers should be attentive to all recall alerts posted on this blog. As a personal injury lawyer, I urge all readers to stay informed so possible accidents related to defective or contaminated products will be entirely prevented.

Injuries Related to the Use of Bumbo Baby Seats Still Occuring

News sources from all over the country have reported that the previous recall for Bumbo Baby Seats hasn’t seemed to be making much of a difference for the safety of babies nationwide. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued an extension to the original recall so parents stay alert when leaving their babies on the Bumbo Baby Seats.

According to the announcement these items should never be used in elevated surfaces. Reports regarding infants aged 3 to 10 months suffering injuries after falling from the baby seats are still surfacing. Some of the reports claim the infants had skull fractures among other allegedly life-threatening injuries.

The reports show there have been at least 45 incidents related to the same misuse of the Bumbo seats. The last recall issued by the CPSC required the manufacturers to display warning signs advising parents to never place their babies on this product while on elevated surfaces. Since that requirement was followed, 17 reports of skull fractures were brought to the CPSC.

Since 2003, there were 3.85 million seats manufactured by Bumbo Baby Seats International sold all over the country.

As a Tacoma personal injury attorney and a parent, our children’s safety is a priority. Personal injury lawyers are always ready to answer all of your questions regarding cases that happened due to the negligence of companies overlooking the safety of their products.

Recall Issued for Buffalo Chicken Wedge Sandwiches

The early news reports from the FDA claim that the Maumee Valley Vending Company has issued an allergy alert because milk that went undeclared in the Buffalo Chicken Wedge Sandwiches containing cheese.

The company is issuing a recall along with the alert because the label did not show milk as one of the items on their ingredients list. The reports from the FDA show that the manufacturing company has produced 350 sandwiches, which have the code CLF103 11/21 printed on the product’s plastic triangular containers.

The issue was discovered after the FDA investigated many products due to suspicion of incorrect product labeling. There have been no illnesses reported that were directly linked to this product, however individuals who have a severe milk allergy may run the risk of being seriously threatened by allergic reactions after the consuming of this product.

As a Bellevue personal injury attorney I hope that this recalled item won’t be responsible for any severe allergic reactions that may prove to be fatal in the case of a consumer suffering from a major milk sensitivity.

Any personal injury lawyer is very familiar with cases related to the irresponsible, neglecting ways of certain companies, do not become their victims, contact a lawyer when needed.

Beef Jerky Recalled after Salmonella Scare

There have been different news sources claiming that the popular Beef Jerky manufactured by the Texas-based company Whittington’s Jerky Inc. is being recalled. Salmonella contamination is claimed to be the cause for this recall.

According to the news, over 120 pounds of beef jerky might be contaminated with the powerful bacteria. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Satefy and Inspection Service claim that both 2oz and 4oz packages of Beef Jerky sold in convenience stores in West Texas should not be consumed, if you have purchased any of these items return them immediately.

Salmonella is a dangerous bacterium that may cause one of the most life-threatening food borne illnesses to humans who have weak immune systems.

As a Seattle wrongful death attorney I hope that nobody will be affected by the contaminated beef jerky. Although this is an issue for residents of the state of Texas, Washingtonians should always be alert of different food recalls in the case the issue hits home.

Whenever a person has put under a major health risk because of a contaminated food sample, it is important that a personal injury lawyer will be contacted right away. Instead of waiting for answers from the company that has caused your problems, look for an experienced attorney to answer to the questions related to your case.

Trek Bikes Recalled After Alleged Saddle Clamp Problems

Regarding recent news articles, there has been a recall issued for over 27,000 bikes due to issues related to the saddle clamps manufactured by the Trek bicycle company. The company felt the recall was made necessary after the problem was reported.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission stated vigorously that all the recalled bikes are allegedly from the 2012 model year. Makes included in the malfunctioning match include the 7.3 FX including WSD and Disc models, Livestrong FX including WSD models, 7.4 FX including WSD models, 7.2 FX including WSD models, District, Livestrong District and 9th District.

The malfunctioning piece forces the bolt to break, according to the company. The breaking of the piece can lead the saddle to come off the seat unexpectedly. Such issue could cause the rider to be ejected from the bicycle and injured severely. It is not known just yet if there were claims of accidents related to the recalled bicycles according to the company’s announcements.

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I urge all riders who own any of the recalled models to contact the manufacturer so the affected saddle can be replaced completely free of charge. Target Recalls Children’s Masks Due to Suffocation Hazard

In a press release, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Target retail stores, announced the voluntary recall of frog masks designed for children because they lack adequate ventilation and pose a significant suffocation hazard to children.

This recall affects roughly 3,400 frog masks designed for children. The recall was initiated after the CPSC noticed that the plush frog mask featured two eyeholes, but no source of ventilation for the child’s nose or mouth. This design presents a significant suffocation hazard to children. The plush green frog masks are green and yellow with red highlights and were available at Target stores nationwide between August and September of this year. They can be identified by their UPC code of 06626491474, which can be found on the label attached to the mask.

Consumers are being urged to immediately remove the mask from children and return them to any Target store for a full refund. Neither the CPSC nor Target has received any reports of injury in relation to this recall.

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I’m relieved to learn that no children have been reported injured in relation to this defective children’s product. If you’ve been injured through the use of a defective product, contact a personal injury lawyer in your town to learn more about your rights as a consumer.
