Recall Issued For 126,000 Honda Goldwing Motorcycles

According to recent news from the Consumer Reports, certain Honda motorcycles are being recalled due to issues related to their brakes. Over 120,000 vehicles are being recalled according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration because of an alleged problem with the secondary brakes and their cylinders.

Reportedly the problem makes the rear brakes drag and increase the risk to riders since it may lead to a collision. According to the news, the problem can cause the brake to overheat since riding with a tied in rear brake will strain the engine.

The carmaker has stated that the malfunctioning brakes are present in all GL 1800 Goldwing motorcycles manufactured from 2001 to 2010. The 2012 models also have the same issue.

By January, all owners will be notified of the recall and how they must proceed to get their motorcycles fixed properly, promised Honda. All maintenance will be free of charge to the Honda Goldwing motorcycle owners.

As a Federal Way motorcycle accident attorney I urge all riders who happen to own one of the recalled models to contact the company right away. Don’t ever wait for a recalled product to break or fail when you most need it, respond to the recalls quickly so you won’t get harmed in any way.

Any personal injury lawyer should be of great assistance if you ever feel you were the victim of a company that is neglectful. Call right away.

Man Driving Under The Influence On Interstate 82 Allegedly Arrested

Local news reported that a driver was pulled over on Interstate 82 because of his tinted windows; the authorities claimed the vehicle’s windows were overly dark.

News went on to confirm that the traffic stop happened on Wednesday after 2:40 p.m. and that the Washington State Patrol trooper noticed that the man was allegedly intoxicated. An open can of beer inside the car made it clear his initial suspicion could be right.

A dog was brought to the vehicle and it smelled drugs but the driver refused to allow the trooper to do a search. Official reports show the trooper obtained a warrant by telephone and found bags with residue that were later tested positive for cocaine. The officer also found marijuana on the floorboard and a Sig Sauer P229 .40-caliber pistol.

Charges pressed against the driver claim he had a stolen gun under his possession and over 40 grams of marijuana.

As a Seattle car accident lawyer I know of the risks individuals may face when sharing the road with an intoxicated driver. Whenever you spot a driver that may seem suspicious or highly dangerous, report the license plate number to the local authorities.

Whenever you’re involved with an accident caused by an intoxicated driver, contact a personal injury lawyer right away.

Fallen Trees And Power Lines Make It A Tough Morning For Commuters

The powerful windstorm from Thursday night allegedly made it tough for morning commuters to go about their daily routines. News broke regarding the many power outages that left over 200,000 customers from Southern California Edison without any electricity and other countless San Gabriel Valley disabled traffic signals.

Reports also showed that an undisclosed number of fallen trees have put the lives of some in danger as well as power lines affecting the traffic on many roadways.

Authorities from the California Highway Patrol hope drivers will remember that high winds are still expected to continue.

Another problem related to the strong winds is the scattering of detached materials from various sources. Debris on the roads presented dangers to pedestrians and commuters in Pasadena, as reported by the Fire Department. The California Highway Patrol reminds all drivers that intersections with defective traffic signals should be treated as a four-way stop.

According to the news sources, the presence of debris in Altadena was so denotative that sheriff’s deputies had a difficult time responding to emergency calls.

As a Glendale personal injury lawyer I hope all drivers will be extra careful during this time of high wind activity. Remember to leave your home early if you need to be somewhere at a certain time and do not forget to contact a personal injury lawyer in your area who will assist you with any questions related to an accident you may have been involved with.

Crash Near Coulee City Leaves Two People Injured

Local news outlets have reported that a crash on State Route 17 has left two people injured just 7 miles North of Coulee City.

According to the official report from the Washington State patrol, a 45-year-old woman was driving her 2006 Ford F-350 truck going northbound on SR17 just before 10 p.m. on Thursday when she lost control of the vehicle.

The road was allegedly icy which led the vehicle to roll. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital along with the passenger, a 46-year-old man. The officials from the Washington State Patrol say that the woman was driving too fast without taking into account the weather and the road conditions.

The authorities are still looking into the accident and collecting information regarding the causes behind the crash. The news went on to confirm that no official charges were pressed against the driver.

As a Federal Way car accident lawyer I sincerely wish a swift recovery for both driver and passenger and hope that other drivers will keep from accelerating while driving under extreme weather conditions.

Icy roads may present a serious accident hazard. Personal injury lawyers urge all readers to be aware of the many dangers posed by the slippery pavement, stay alert.

Hit-And-Run Accident Still Unsolved, Authorities Say

According to several news articles and the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run crash that sadly claimed the life of a 40-year-old man from El Cajon is still unsolved.

The collision happened sometime after 8:40 p.m. on November 10th. The motorcycle rider was going east on Interstate 8 when a vehicle hit the rider and continued to drive, failing to stop and aid the motorcyclist. The California State Patrol claims that the severely injured man was taken to the hospital right away and unfortunately pronounced dead after his arrival.

The authorities have announced that any clue that may lead them to the suspect who caused this accident is welcome. No identity was linked to the driver so far and no witnesses are known to have seen the vehicle at the time of the collision. Officials say the car will present damage to the left side mirror.

Personal injury lawyers hope that in the case of a crash, you will never leave the scene of the accident. It’s important to stop and call the authorities right away.

As a Mountain View personal injury lawyer I urge all readers who may have any information regarding the accident to contact the Highway Patrol as soon as possible. Our heats go the family of the man who sadly lost his life, hopefully the authorities will work hard to solve this case in a timely manner.

Winds Knock Out Power, High-Wind Alert For The Bay Area

According to the local California news outlets, there have been many problems related to the strong winds across the state. The bay area saw the strongest outcomes related to the late night winds, which knocked down trees, slowed down drivers and kept thousands of PG&E customers without any power.

The spokesperson for PG&E announced that the company anticipated the extremely windy weather and that the power outage was an expected outcome. Due to the imminent issue at hand, PG&E allegedly doubled the number of workers on duty so the response to the power suspension issue could be resolved in a timely manner.

Reports from the California Highway Patrol showed that a high-wind alert was issued to the entire state, specially the Bay Area bridges. All drivers and motorcycle riders should be extremely careful while on the road.

As a Fresno car accident attorney I advise drivers to expect delays whenever driving in an extreme weather condition. Allow some extra inches between vehicles and be aware of unexpected hurdles.

Many personal injury lawyers understand that this is a particular delicate time, the Santa Ana winds may hit certain areas in California forcefully. Be attentive and drive safely.

High-speed Pursuit Keeps Everett On Edge

During the thanksgiving weekend a high-speed pursuit kept Everett residents on edge.

According to the local news, a 26-year-old man from Lake Stevens was spotted driving an allegedly stolen vehicle. A sheriff’s deputy followed the stolen Acura Integra in Snohomish County unsuccessfully since the authority’s car forced an oncoming Washington State Patrol vehicle to veer to the shoulder of the road.

At a certain moment, patrol cars from the City of Snohomish, the Washington State Patrol and the County Police were trying to get the driver to pull over.

Officers report that a deputy vehicle got close and hit the rear corner of the stolen car forcing it to spin out but not even that was enough to make the man stop.

The pursuit continued with the several authorities following up close until the Snohomish police car crashed into the Acura and after spinning many times, the deputy drove into the stolen car once again forcing it to fall into a ditch.

Authorities claimed the suspect tried to run away by foot but was finally captured by the local police.

As an Everett car accident lawyer I hope that no one was injured because of this accident. Hopefully, the authorities will be able to keep similar pursuits from happening in the near future.

Whenever you were the victim of an accident that was caused by a reckless third party, contact a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.
