Recall Issued For 126,000 Honda Goldwing Motorcycles

According to recent news from the Consumer Reports, certain Honda motorcycles are being recalled due to issues related to their brakes. Over 120,000 vehicles are being recalled according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration because of an alleged problem with the secondary brakes and their cylinders.

Reportedly the problem makes the rear brakes drag and increase the risk to riders since it may lead to a collision. According to the news, the problem can cause the brake to overheat since riding with a tied in rear brake will strain the engine.

The carmaker has stated that the malfunctioning brakes are present in all GL 1800 Goldwing motorcycles manufactured from 2001 to 2010. The 2012 models also have the same issue.

By January, all owners will be notified of the recall and how they must proceed to get their motorcycles fixed properly, promised Honda. All maintenance will be free of charge to the Honda Goldwing motorcycle owners.

Recall Issued For Schwinn Elliptical Exercise Equipment

The news spreading all over the country claims that a recall was announced for the Schwinn Elliptical Exercise Equipment. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission along with the company responsible for the manufacturing of the recalled product, released a joint recall alert according to the news.

The official announcement shows the recalled exercise equipment was distributed by Nautilus Inc. of Vancouver, Washington. The company stated that the item demonstrated malfunctioning issues related to the footplates. The Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy dry food was found to have high levels of a toxin called aflatoxin that may cause many illnesses in pets.

The FDA has announced that retailers have removed the remaining recalled products from their shelves but that several consumers still own bags of the recalled product in their homes. According to official reports, the illnesses related to the bacteria found in the dog food may cause the dogs to suffer sluggishness, vomiting, lethargy, yellowish tint to the eyes, diarrhea etc.

The article announced that the product was distributed to most states of the country and that the recalled bags have February 5 or February 6, 2013 stamped on their Best If Used By labels.

Man Driving Under The Influence On Interstate 82 Allegedly Arrested

Local news reported that a driver was pulled over on Interstate 82 because of his tinted windows; the authorities claimed the vehicle’s windows were overly dark.

News went on to confirm that the traffic stop happened on Wednesday after 2:40 p.m. and that the Washington State Patrol trooper noticed that the man was allegedly intoxicated. An open can of beer inside the car made it clear his initial suspicion could be right.

Crash Near Coulee City Leaves Two People Injured

Local news outlets have reported that a crash on State Route 17 has left two people injured just 7 miles North of Coulee City.

According to the official report from the Washington State patrol, a 45-year-old woman was driving her 2006 Ford F-350 truck going northbound on SR17 just before 10 p.m. on Thursday when she lost control of the vehicle.

The road was allegedly icy which led the vehicle to roll. The driver was injured and taken to the hospital along with the passenger, a 46-year-old man. The officials from the Washington State Patrol say that the woman was driving too fast without taking into account the weather and the road conditions.

Hit-And-Run Accident Still Unsolved, Authorities Say

According to several news articles and the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run crash that sadly claimed the life of a 40-year-old man from El Cajon is still unsolved.

The collision happened sometime after 8:40 p.m. on November 10th. The motorcycle rider was going east on Interstate 8 when a vehicle hit the rider and continued to drive, failing to stop and aid the motorcyclist.
