Failure to Yield Hospitalizes One

A failure to yield caused one injury Saturday evening in Othello, according to recent news sources.

The crash occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday when a 21-year-old man driving a 1996 Saturn southbound was approaching Highway 26 and pulled out in front of another car. The other car, a 1997 Oldsmobile driven by a 37-year-old male, was heading east and just about to approach First Street, according to Washington State Patrol.

The 37-year-old man was taken to Othello Hospital for treatment. The 21-year-old driver of the Saturn was not injured.

According to Washington State Patrol, the 21-year-old was charged with failing to yield right of way, negligent driving and having no insurance. They also believed that drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

As a auto accident lawyer Renton, I hope this man’s injuries are not life-threatening and that he is able to recover quickly. In my experience as a Renton car accident lawyer, I’ve seen how drugs and alcohol can impair driving and cause life-threatening crashes. Drinking and driving is a threat to everyone on the road. If you have been injured in a car accident and believe that another party is at fault, it’s in your best interest to contact a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.
