Man Injured After Hitting a Boulder Off The Road

A single car accident was responsible for a man from Allyn being injured on Monday evening according to the local news.

The accident happened some time around 11 p.m. when the man was driving on the left side of the Highway 3 and accidentally hit a boulder off the roadway. The vehicle spun around many times and rested on the driver’s side.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the man was taken to the Hospital as soon as the troopers arrived and his car was impounded.

Official reports show that the 77-year-old driver had his seat belt on at the time of the crash and that there were no other individuals involved in this accident. The Washington State Patrol is allegedly still investigating the accident but ruled out alcohol as one of the possible causes of the crash.

As a Vancouver car accident lawyer I hope that the driver will recover quickly and that the authorities will find out the real reasons behind this accident so similar crashes can be prevented in the near future.

I, a personal injury lawyer wish that drivers all across the Nation would be extremely cautious when it comes to distracted and even drowsy driving. Both behaviors can pose severe threats to you and your loved ones.

Drowsy Driving Poses a Major Threat, WSP Confirms

According to the Washington State Patrol, a great contributor to accidents on state highways is the ever dangerous drowsy driving. Authorities claim it’s even more of an accident facilitator than drinking and driving because so many motorists simply think they are not going to give in to sleepiness.

The news says the Washington State Patrol has found a new way to crack down this issue by utilizing an easier way to have control over this hazard. Driver fatigue can be fatal but it’s just as hard to be determined whether someone is suffering from it or not.

Authorities found a way around this, at the time truckers stop at weight-stations, electronic screeners will find out how long the driver has been on the road in the past days. That will determine if the truck driver should or should not stop and rest.

Many commercial trucking accidents have occurred in the past year, most of them were caused by driver fatigue. In many cases, truck drivers allegedly falsified the amount of hours they had been driving in the logbooks so they could keep on going.

The new scanners added to the weight-stations will keep that from happening again.

As a Tacoma auto accident lawyer I believe that it is our duty to star alert while driving, otherwise we may be putting other people’s lives at risk. If anyone has ever put your life at risk because of their reckless driving, don’t hesitate in contacting a personal injury lawyer in your area.

Man from Ephrata Hits Guardrail on Route 17

According to the Washington State Patrol and local news sources, there was a crash last Friday sometime after 3 p.m. on Route 17. Reports show that the crash happened just north of Moses Lake.

The driver allegedly involved in the one-vehicle accident was a 21-year-old from Ephrata and he was driving a 1992 Cadillac when he fell asleep and collided against a guardrail.

The authorities have claimed that they still don’t know all the details regarding the accident or what caused the man to allegedly fall asleep but an officer from Washington State Patrol says that drugs or alcohol can be possibly related to the collision.

As a Bellingham car accident attorney I understand that many different factors may pose as accident facilitators but I urge all of you to be extremely cautious of drowsy driving. Be aware of the signs your body is getting tired, pull over in a safe place, take a nap if needed but try not to continue to drive if you feel you will not be able to remain awake and alert.

Whenever you or a loved one is involved in a car accident related to distracted driving, remember that the best person you can turn to is a personal injury lawyer in your area. Don’t delay in contacting someone you can trust, right away.

Woman in Critical Condition After Allegedly Sleeping At The Wheel

According to various news sources, a 60-year-old woman from Lewiston was taken to the hospital after a crash following her sleeping at the wheel. Authorities claim she is in a serious physical condition.

The reports from the Washington State Patrol claim that the driver was going southbound on SR 195 sometime Tuesday morning when she unfortunately dozed off. Witnesses claim that her vehicle drifted off the road until it stopped by striking a manhole. After the hit, the woman was ejected through the windshield. According to the Washington State Patrol, she was later found in a creek.

The authorities transported the woman to the hospital right away. The official reports claim that the driver was not wearing a seat belt.

There aren’t many details regarding the conditions of the road but they don’t seem to have played an important role in the accident.

As a Spokane car accident attorney I sincerely hope that the driver will have a speedy recovery and that similar accidents may be prevented in the future. In the case of finding yourself tired, irritated while driving or fighting to stay awake, don’t hesitate to pull over, find a safe place and take a nap or drink some coffee until you feel completely awake again.

For any accidents that you may have been involved with that weren’t caused by you, remember to contact a personal injury lawyer to assist you.
