Accident On Highway 305 Claims The Life Of A Passenger

According to the local news, a 50-year-old woman who was killed after being involved in a head-on collision was unfortunately killed. The Washington State Patrol released a statement claiming that the woman was identified after her body was retrieved from the accident scene on Highway 305 last Friday.

The official reports show that the accident happened some time around 6 in the afternoon just in front of the Cedar Glen RV Park. The investigators working on this case think that the driver responsible for the crash was driving while intoxicated. The 46-year-old woman from Poulsbo was driving northbound when suddenly she veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on against the 1993 Saturn carrying the victim. Officials say she wasn’t wearing her seat belt.

The driver of the struck vehicle was severely injured and was rushed to the Hospital by a helicopter along with the drunken driver.

Authorities blocked the roadway for four hours so the accident scene could be cleared up.

As an Olympia car accident lawyer I extend my most profound condolences to the family of the woman who tragically lost her life because of this accident. The thoughts and hearts of all personal injury lawyers are with them.

Fortunately, this accident will serve as an alert to all motorists who think they could possibly get away with driving under the influence. Don’t be a victim of a drunken driver, contact a proficient lawyer as soon as needed.

Man Involved In Crash On I-82 Was Following Too Close

According to local news, a 59-year-old man from Toppenish had to be rushed to the hospital after an accident involving two vehicles on Interstate 82.

Official reports from the Washington State Patrol show that the driver was going south on the Interstate around 6:20 pm on Monday night when he failed to slow down and ended up rear-ending a truck driven by a 45-year-old man. The truck was hauling a trailer and according to the reports from the authorities, the truck driver was not injured.

According to the news, both men were wearing seat belts and the local police had to hand a citation to the injured driver for driving and following too close to another vehicle.

I, a Bellingham auto accident lawyer I hope the injured driver will learn his lesson and stay away from any future issues while on the road.

As a personal injury lawyer I urge all motorists in the state of Washington to stay alert for icy roads. There are many weather conditions that will make the roads less of a safe place but if the driver is watchful and mindful of the possible issues he may face, most accidents can be prevented.

Safe Driving Reminder Is Issued By the Authorities Because of The Holidays

According to many news sources from all over the nation, the authorities across the country are dedicating most of their time and all of their local and transportation forces toward law enforcement. This particular dedication and efforts are part of the Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over holiday mobilization.

Precautionary steps are important and are being taken by all local and state police forces so safety can be upheld on every roadway during this holiday season.

The authorities hope to educate the population by reminding all drivers that seat belts must be worn at all times while driving. Other safety measures like placing your cell phone away while behind the wheel and staying away from any drinking before driving are also heavily publicized.

An Illinois State Police official who was interviewed for the article says that all interstates will be highly patrolled and that the same should happen all over the country. There will be many safety checks so no spot is out of the sight of the troopers.

As an Olympia car accident lawyer, I hope that these measures will be entirely successful during the holiday season. Hopefully this success will be kept even after the holidays. Many families depend on this dedication.

Personal injury lawyers have taken care of several cases related to the negligence of drivers during this season.

Chevrolet Issues a Recall for 2012 GMC Savana Vans

The news and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have reported that Chevrolet has issued a recall for at least 1,798 2012 GMC Savana van vehicles. The announcement from the company stated that the main issue behind the recall is the dual-stage air bags being malfunctioning. They may end up not inflating correctly whenever the vehicle suffers a case of frontal collision.

The NHTSA agency also announced that the questionable vehicles violate the federal safety standards. According to the article, the issues related to the recall alert are linked to the vans manufactured between June and October of 2011.

GM announced that they have the recall planned and that there is a certain date they will notify owners of the affected vehicles. All recalled vans must be taken to GM dealers so the faulty air bags can be replaced free of charge.

As a Tacoma car accident lawyer I understand that problems with the air bags in any car can make a minor accident turn into a life-threatening situation for drivers and passengers. All owners will hopefully be able to get their vehicles fixed in a timely manner.

Personal injury lawyers will always be able to assist you especially if you feel like you were exposed to a threatening situation caused by a neglecting company or third party. Contact a professional lawyer as soon as possible whenever you need one.

Driver Interactive Simulators Teach College Students About Distracted Driving

According to several news sources from all over the country, there’s a Virtual Driver Interactive simulator that is allegedly helping students from Mount Marty College to learn more about impaired and distracted driving.

It is well known that it takes just a few careless moments behind a wheel to provoke a major tragedy. With this fact in mind, students are learning to understand what kind of consequences distracted and impaired driving can have and what kind of major collisions one can suffer while talking on the phone, texting behind the wheel or even driving under the influence.

This effort has been very popular, according to the news. During lunch hour, the simulating machine is available to all students who like to gather around the two units installed in the Roncalli Center. According to College representatives, the machines were brought from the Sioux Empire Safety Village of Sioux Falls.

This event was made possible because of a grant the Office of Highway Safety offered the Mount Marty College and its students.

As a Seattle car accident lawyer I hope that what the students were able to learn with the stimulators may be put to good use in their real lives. Hopefully, none of the students who have been educated about drinking and driving through the Driver Interactive simulator will ever need a personal injury lawyer for a car accident related case.
