Recall Issued For Nissan Sentras Over Stall Risk

According to the recent reports from the Consumer Reports website, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration along the Nissan automaker is issuing a recall for all 2010 and 2011 Sentras.

The announcement states that over 33,800 units of the mentioned Sentra models have to be taken back to the dealerships due to an issue with their battery terminals. The company reveals that the engine may stall unexpectedly leading the vehicle to crash. The problem happened because during the manufacturing process, the battery terminals were covered with a zinc coating that was thicker than necessary.

Because of the faulty battery terminals, the engine can also present problems when the driver tries to restart the car. The national agency assured the media that the issue affects only the vehicles manufactured during May, July, August, September and October of 2010 and are equipped with the MR20 engines.

As a Seattle car accident lawyer I want to remind all owners of the recalled Nissan Sentras that it is against the law to sell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. If you own a Sentra that has been recalled, you can take it into your local dealer where they will perform a thorough inspection for free.

Whenever you are injured in an accident that was caused by a third party and that left you harmed in any way, contact a personal injury attorney to assist you.

Velvet Crème Popcorn Recalled Due To Undeclared Allergen

According to recent reports from the FDA, a series of products manufactured and distributed by Velvet Crème Popcorn Co. is being recalled.

The news sources covering the recall announcement show that people seriously allergic to soy, milk or wheat could be exposed to a serious threat by consuming Velvet Crème Popcorn. The company stated that the undeclared allergens are present in most of their products without having the ingredients listed in their labels.

The popcorn packages that are being recalled for unlisted allergens are:

  • Velvet Crème Peanut Brittle,  4 oz. cellophane bags (contains milk)
  • Velvet Crème Tail Gate Crunch,  1 lb. and 8 oz. cellophane bags (contains soy and wheat)
  • Velvet Crème Sweet Cajun Heat, 1 lb. and 8 oz. cellophane bags (contains soy and wheat)

Lot numbers or individual codes are not available. Consumers are advised to make sure they are not allergic to soy, milk or wheat before consuming the recalled products. The company is working close to the FDA so all products are removed from the store shelves but some consumers may still have the recalled items in their homes.

As a Fresno personal injury lawyer I hold the health of my blog’s readers as a priority. Consumers with friends or family members who are allergic to nuts should be especially careful, make sure to return the products to the place of purchase right away.

Personal injury lawyers urge consumers to contact the company right away since the allergen risks serious or life-threatening reactions.

Nissan Recalls 2011 Juke Sport Utility Vehicles

According to the articles released early today, Nissan is recalling the 2011 model of the Juke sport utility vehicles due to a faulty turbocharger sensor. The company released an announcement stating that 28,000 units of the vehicle must be recalled after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration noticed the bracket could fall into the engine’s air inlet tube leading the car to stall unexpectedly. According to the agency, this issue may increase the risk of an accident.

The affected vehicles are equipped with a turbocharger engine and were manufactured between April 2010 and May 2011. Nissan revealed that owners would be contacted so they can bring their recalled vehicles to authorized dealerships for an inspection. If necessary, the air inlet tube will be replaced at the spot.

The notification will be sent to Juke owners at the beginning of January 2012, according to the official reports.

As a Bellevue car accident lawyer I can tell you that it’s important to have your vehicle in the best running condition possible. I advise all Juke SUV owners to contact Nissan if you have any questions about the recall and how to proceed to get your vehicle fixed.

Any personal injury lawyer can tell you that the recall issued by Nissan was a smart move, being proactive and contacting owners right away can prevent possible car accidents from happening.

Recall Issued For Nissan Juke Over Faulty Sensors

Several news sources revealed that Nissan is issuing a recall along the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for 28,000 Juke SUVs over faulty sensors and freezing locks.

According to the official statement, this is a global recall since accidents related to the faulty parts have been reported in foreign countries. The automaker tested their vehicles after the complaints and realized the boost-pressure sensors can eventually come loose and lead to several problems with the vehicle’s check-engine lights. The problem may also lead the car to stall suddenly since the faulty bracket can fall into the air tube.

The official reports state that the automaker will send recall notices to owners in the beginning of January of 2012.

As a San Bernardino car accident lawyer I’m sincerely relieved that Nissan was able to catch this recall before any injuries occurred. I urge all Juke owners to contact the automaker as soon as possible so any possible accidents related to this faulty vehicle can be prevented.

Distracted Driver Caused Fatal Chain Collision, Texted Before Crash

A 19-year-old who reportedly sent and received 11 text messages just before hitting the back of a tractor truck, caused a fatal chain collision in Missouri. The news articles from the time of the accident reported that the accident involved the teen’s pickup truck, the tractor truck he drove into at 55 mph and two school buses following right behind the teen.

The unfortunate and entirely preventable accident claimed the lives of the distracted teen and a 15-year-old who was riding in one of the buses. According to the local news, the kids were headed to the Six Flags St. Louis amusement park on that day. Local Police enforcement claims no text or phone call should be more important than the countless lives we put in danger every time we handle our phones behind the wheel.

The authorities hope that this accident will serve as a real example of the severe consequences of texting and driving, which is already an illegal practice in several states. Pulling to a side street so you can call or text someone is much more responsible than trying to do so while driving. Using a headset while behind the wheel can also keep you from losing track of what happens around you and downloading an app that will block your phone every time it senses you’re driving can also help you to stay away from the temptation of engaging in this highly risky practice.

As a Renton car accident lawyer I send my thoughts to the relatives of the young teens who lost their lives as a result of this tragic accident, I truly hope similar accidents will be forever eradicated.

Personal injury lawyers are always available to answer your questions related to an accident caused by a third party that might have left you or a loved one severely injured, do not delay in contacting one in your area whenever needed.

Fatal Accident Caused By Teen Driver Who Was Texting And Driving

Recent articles reported a terribly tragic accident allegedly caused by a 19-year-old pickup truck driver and his distracted behavior. The accident has brought the discussion on the ban of texting while driving back to Missouri residents and to the Nation.

According to the news, the driver was texting and receiving text messages just before ramming at 55 mph against the rear end of a tractor truck.

A school bus traveling just behind the pickup truck ended up rear-ending the vehicle and was later hit also by another school bus following right behind. This unfortunate chain collision claimed the lives of the 19-year-old driver and a 15-year-old who was riding in one of the school buses. Reportedly, there were other 38 injured individuals involved in this accident.

Residents and local police officials are deeply saddened and appalled by this occurrence and hope to make distracted driving a thing of the past. Authorities say that, if you need to use the phone the most important thing is to remember to pull over to the side of the road or to another side street, which will keep you from putting the lives of others in danger. Downloading apps for your smartphone designed to respond whenever it senses you’re driving by blocking the service is also a smart way to keep yourself from engaging in risky behaviors while driving.

As a personal injury lawyer I extend my deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this horrible chain collision and offer my sincerest wishes of a speedy recovery for all of those who unfortunately were injured.

Any Oakland car accident lawyer recommends a number of precautionary steps that will assist drivers and keep them safe from possible accidents and remember, handling cell phones while driving is against the law in several states.

‘Start Smart’ Driving Classes Focus On Educating Teen Drivers

According to several news articles released in the State of California, there have been over a thousand crashes caused by teen drivers in the past year.

This tristful fact has pressed the California Highway Patrol to act. According to the article, a campaign to bring education and awareness comprehending road safety and traffic laws has just begun and it is completely focused on teen drivers from all over the state.

The program is called ‘Start Smart’ and it’s a set of lessons destined to teens that are still unaware of most dangers they will face while driving. Among many other subjects, young drivers will learn unique collision avoidance techniques, correct rules, traffic laws and proper driving etiquette.

The troopers hope young drivers will have a better start after learning how to properly handle the responsibility of driving a vehicle. The focus is to keep the statistics from climbing any faster and preparing teen drivers to face the major dangers the road can present them in the future.

As a Los Angeles car accident lawyer and a parent I hope that this program will educate teen drivers extensively so a whole generation of aware and alert drivers can make the roads in California much safer.

Whenever you or a loved one is involved in an accident related to the reckless driving of others, contact a personal injury lawyer and have all your questions regarding personal injury cases answered right away.

Raw Cookie Dough Behind E. Coli Outbreak

According to several news sources, dairy products or raw eggs didn’t cause the recent E coli outbreak across the nation like the authorities previously thought. Studies prove that raw flour present in prepackaged cookie dough was the real responsible resource of contaminated material.

The study was conducted by the Clinical Infectious Diseases journal and it discovered that the outbreak from 2009 of E. coli originated with the cookie dough that is distributed in several stores nationwide. The news show that over 70 people were allegedly reported to carry illnesses related to the contamination.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating the ingredient that is responsible for the contaminated cookie dough. Researches firmly believe that the raw flour is the only ingredient that may have gone under the radar while carrying the E. coli bacteria since eggs, sugar and molasses go through a process that kills several pathogens while raw flour doesn’t.

As an Olympia personal injury lawyer I urge all consumers to follow all recall news up closely. If you’re the victim of the negligence of a company that has produced contaminated food items before and that has risked your life or the life of a loved one, do not hesitate and contact a personal injury lawyer to answer to all of your questions regarding your personal injury case.

Accident On Highway 305 Claims The Life Of A Passenger

According to the local news, a 50-year-old woman who was killed after being involved in a head-on collision was unfortunately killed. The Washington State Patrol released a statement claiming that the woman was identified after her body was retrieved from the accident scene on Highway 305 last Friday.

The official reports show that the accident happened some time around 6 in the afternoon just in front of the Cedar Glen RV Park. The investigators working on this case think that the driver responsible for the crash was driving while intoxicated. The 46-year-old woman from Poulsbo was driving northbound when suddenly she veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on against the 1993 Saturn carrying the victim. Officials say she wasn’t wearing her seat belt.

The driver of the struck vehicle was severely injured and was rushed to the Hospital by a helicopter along with the drunken driver.

Authorities blocked the roadway for four hours so the accident scene could be cleared up.

As an Olympia car accident lawyer I extend my most profound condolences to the family of the woman who tragically lost her life because of this accident. The thoughts and hearts of all personal injury lawyers are with them.

Fortunately, this accident will serve as an alert to all motorists who think they could possibly get away with driving under the influence. Don’t be a victim of a drunken driver, contact a proficient lawyer as soon as needed.

Frozen Pasta Recall Issued

A certain amount of frozen stuffed pasta produced and distributed by the D’Orazio Foods, Inc. from New Jersey is being recalled due to the lack of proper inspections performed before the items were shipped.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service revealed that the company must seize over 161,000 ponds of the frozen pasta distributed to many states including California.

After a routine assessment managed by the FSIS, agents realized there was a certain batch of pasta that had been produced when inspectors were not present at the facility. The recalled items include Albertsons’ beef ravioli, Albertsons’ sausage ravioli, Jewel sausage ravioli, Our Family beef ravioli and Jewel beef ravioli. States like California, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Oregon and Utah are known to have distributed the recalled products.

According to the agency, the lack of a proper inspection may lead to severe ramifications. All companies must abide to the federal regulations and have their food products properly inspected or lives of consumers throughout the nation will suffer.

Any personal injury lawyer can tell you that many personal injury cases are related to the negligence of companies that fail to have their products properly inspected by the authorities.

As a Newport Beach personal injury attorney I hope that no severe contaminations will be discovered in the recalled products. I urge all consumers to follow the agency’s recommendation and return the product if you happen to have purchased it. Do not delay.
